5 Things I Miss About Being Pregnant and 6 Things I Don’t

things i miss about pregnancy

  1. The fact that if anyone wanted to cause harm to my first born, they’d have to go through me first…literally.

As I came up on my 37th week of pregnancy, it hit me that I’d no longer feel the flutter of little feet on my spleen that would make me smile to myself at my work desk. Furthermore, I realized that soon this little person would be out in the world without me there to protect her 24/7. That made my heart drop into my stomach a little, and it still does. I don’t even have any advice to offer because according to most parents that feeling NEVER goes away. The constant worrying, the questioning of everyone’s intentions that come into contact with your little one, thinking the worst like “What if there’s a zombie apocalypse? I need to think of an escape plan to get from work and home to my baby: Get used to it. It’s called being a parent.

Thanks so much for your support! With all the changes I’ve been going through you know I had to write about them. It’s comforting to know that none of us knows what the hell we’re doing whether our kids are 6 mths or 16 years and we’re all learning together!
