5 Things I Miss About Being Pregnant and 6 Things I Don’t

things i miss about pregnancy

  1. A good night’s sleep, even if it was uncomfortable most nights, it was still sleep.

People aren’t exaggerating when they say that sleep will become like a hit of heroin that has you strung the fuck out when the baby is born. You’ll anxiously await when the paci will drop from their lips as a sign that the rest is real. But even when your little cherub is finally conked out, there’s still the anxiety that comes with not wanting to get some shut eye yourself because you know once you enter the doors of that precious thing we call REM, you’ll hear the familiar whimper that can only means your baby is up and is about to wail like a fire engine in a California forest fire.

You’ll feel like your baby is a cross between an alarm clock and a guard at Guantanamo Bay. I may have been restricted to my left side and battling heartburn for hours at a time, but at least I could look forward to getting some uninterrupted rest when my baby was floating inside of me.

Thanks so much for your support! With all the changes I’ve been going through you know I had to write about them. It’s comforting to know that none of us knows what the hell we’re doing whether our kids are 6 mths or 16 years and we’re all learning together!
