5 Things I Miss About Being Pregnant and 6 Things I Don’t

things i miss about pregnancy

  1. The pressure to be a “hot mom” aka Kelly Rowland.

I don’t know what I hate more: Celebrities that post random baby body parts on their Instagram because they want to protect their newborn from publicity (but not their tiny little feet, that’s OK to exploit). Or the idea that we all have to be 120 lbs. besides our bulging bellies while whispy sheer curtains blow across our naked bodies as we look out over the ocean from the shore.

You can miss my with that Vanity Fair cover bull. I didn’t see my vagina for at least 4 months, the last thing I cared about was being the sexy pregnant lady (which is kinda of hard to do when my belly was catching cookie crumbs, ketchup stains, and drops of soda). I had to give the side-eye to Lance Gross’s little photo shoots with Kelly Rowland. Pregnancy is a beautiful thing, but not because all of us are frolicking through the forest butt ass naked on the cover of Essence magazine.

Thanks so much for your support! With all the changes I’ve been going through you know I had to write about them. It’s comforting to know that none of us knows what the hell we’re doing whether our kids are 6 mths or 16 years and we’re all learning together!
